Aurea Favourites: What We’re loving This Month
OCTOBER EDITION
There’s something about this time of year; the way the light softens, the coffee tastes richer, and creativity feels like it’s waking up again. At Aurea Gifting, we’re always inspired by the little things that make each day more beautiful, the ritual of a slow morning, the scent of a new candle, or a song that just gets you.
Each month, we’ll be gathering our favourite discoveries ~ from books and playlists to small luxuries and creative sparks ~ the things that make our world (and our gifting) feel extra special. Here’s what we’re loving this month:
Morning magic
There’s something almost sacred about those first quiet minutes of the day; before the emails, the wrapping, and the creative chaos begin. My current go-to? A big mug of On Sundays tea (one of our gorg Aurea Gifting suppliers). Their blends are smooth, grounding, and just the right kind of gentle to start the day with intention.
I love brewing a cup, opening the curtains, and scribbling a few to-dos or gratitudes before diving into schol drop off and work. It’s simple, but it sets the tone for a calm, creative morning ~ the kind of energy that flows through everything we do at Aurea.
Scents We’re loving Right Now
Scent has such a beautiful way of shifting a space and softening your mind. Lately, we’ve been obsessed with the Guava & Lychee candle by Eddie & Lu (another of our wonderful Aurea suppliers).
It’s fresh, fruity, and just a little luxurious. We’ve had it burning in the studio most days, and honestly, it’s become our unofficial Aurea signature scent. It feels like sunshine in a jar, which is saying something, considering how much rain we’ve had lately!!
Our “Golden Hours” Playlist
Every creative day needs a soundtrack, and this month’s mix has been full of soul-moving tunes that make work feel a little lighter. Think: RAYE, Gracie Abrams, and a handful of songs that tug on the heart just enough to make you feel something.
We play it while wrapping gifts, writing notes, and sometimes even dancing around the studio (creativity is better with a groove, right?).
On Our Bookshelf
I’ve been reading “The Let Them Theory” by Mel Robbins lately, and it’s been one of those books that lingers. It’s the kind of read that makes you pause and think, yes, that’s exactly it, something I’ve needed at the moment! As a huge people pleaser, this has been such a great read!
There’s something so grounding about curling up with a good book, especially when the weather can’t decide between spring sunshine and sudden downpours (classic New Zealand).
Little luxuries We Adore
This month, it’s all about Shirl & Moss chocolate. Smooth, rich, and dangerously easy to justify as a “creative fuel.” (Let’s just say there’s a stash in the snack drawer that may or may not survive the week.)
